Rules of Veneering
The
surface may be solid wood, partical board, or previously finished...it
doesn't matter. What does matter and matters greatly is that
existing surfaces must be rendered absolutely smooth,
flat and clean.
Bumps
must be sanded perfectly smooth and old finishes must be sanded
or stripped. Dents, holes, grooves, and deep scratches must
be filled and sanded flat and smooth. The degree of perfection
attained in your project greatly depends on the preparation
of your project's surface.
