Avoiding Brass Screw Problems

Stop worrying about using brass screws simply because you're convinced that you're going to either strip the head slots or break the screw off inside your workpiece.

Avoiding this problem is simple.

Fist, before you ever drive your brass screw into your workpiece, drive a STEEL screw of exactly the same size in and out two or three times. This will create "threads" for your brass screws to follow, requiring much less effort (and brass-weakening heat).

Your problem will be over.
