Description:
Chamfers differ from bevels in that, while bevels cut the entire end or edge at any angle less than 90-degrees, chamfers cut off only the top corners. Most chamfers are at 45-degrees.

Use:
Chamfers are frequently used in the construction of some types of projects. They are commonly used on table tops, stools, boxes, and cabinets to "ease" the sharp edge or for decoration. They are salso used on square legs to give them a more graceful shape.
