Starting Screws In A Tough-To-Reach Spot

Here's a solution you may not have thought of.

The next time you have to start a screw in an area you can't reach with your fingers - and you don't have a screw-starting screwdriver (yes, there are such things) -- try this approach.

Wrap a small sliver of paper or card stock around the tip of the screwdriver before inserting it into the slot of the screw. Of course, this trick only works with straight-slot you you'll have to use a straight slot screw instead of a Phillips in these instances.
